Artem Dovbyk (simply “Dovbyk”), born on June 21, 1997, in Cherkasy, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian professional football player who plays as a forward. He began his career at FC Dnipro Cherkasy and in 2014 became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer, helping the team win the Ukrainian First League title. He later played for Dnipro and FC Midtjylland in Denmark. In the 2022–23 season, he finished as the top scorer in the Ukrainian Premier League with 24 goals. In 2023, he joined Girona for a fee of 7 million euros; in his debut season, he scored 24 goals, winning the Pichichi Trophy, helping the team qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time. He also managed to score a hat-trick in just six minutes. In 2024, he transferred to Roma for 38 million euros, scoring the club’s first-ever goal in September. He made his debut for the Ukrainian national team in 2021; during extra time in the round of 16 at UEFA Euro 2020, he scored the winning goal, helping Ukraine defeat Sweden 2–1 and advance to the quarterfinals.
